Getting ready to take our wonderful, exciting, adventurous trip across the world with my man Bill! We fly out this afternoon & evening to rendezvous in 17 hours in New Delhi and then on to Kathmandu, Nepal. Meggie, my daughter meets up with us there and we take her on a beautiful trek to Panchase to visit Bill`s three lovely friends, the Didi`s. After trekking the shopping begins back in Pokhara and Kathmandu for new jewelry pieces or findings with fabulous silver work and turquoise and old coral. I`ll be posting as often as I can with photos too so you can have a headstart on seeing my inspirations for new work! Check on me often cause you know if Bill is involved, it will be interesting. Jaipur

So, here in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, land of the Rajs.  Toured the beautiful Amber Fort, built about 1,000 years ago.  Our hotel is previously in another lifetime a very old home really laid back kind of inexpensive hangout for folks from all over.  From the rooftop restaurant we saw green parrots fly by and kites flying from other rooftops as well as the Pink Palace in the heart of town in the 18th century.  It's a really cool place but i am getting totally ripped off by the vendors and I still haven't found my jewelry parts.  Maybe tomorrow.  photos to come.

India! Arrived in Delhi today. What a place. People EVERYWHERE! Dirty streets like Kathmandu but more modern and more craziness. I do not want to cross one of these streets on foot! More frightening than Rome. Hotel turns out to be a modern haven behind the dirty facade. Did end up walking to a very good restaurant a. Good hot shower . To bed now.
